the 20th Anniversary of the release of Like A Prayer was back in March. Probably her best song and video ever. Lyrics by Madonna, Music by Patrick Leonnard, Guitar by Prince. Choir Andre Counch and The Andre Counch Choir, Gospel Solo by Niki Haris Video directed by Mary Lambert

The filming of this video was reported to the FBI for a Hate Crime. Niki and Andre refused to appear in the video because of the burning crosses.

The rarely seen Pepsi commercial that was pulled because of the video.

Little Boots ... compared to Kylie.

She's being compared to Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue, but rising UK pop star Little Boots says they don't have much in common, apart from their height.

Real name Victoria Hesketh, the former punk rock band lead singer, has hit stardom in the UK thanks to her debut album Hands.

The pop electro style album has spawned the hit song New In Town and received rave reviews with many labelling the petite blonde a British Kylie.

The 25-year-old says she doesn't think they sound similar, but thinks Minogue's a great pop star.

Playing about 33 festivals around the world this year, Hesketh says Australian fans can look forward to fun and energetic shows when she plays at the Parklife musical festivals around the country in September and October.

Madonna's Stage Collopases Killing 1 Injuring 6

A stage being constructed for a Madonna concert has collapsed, killing one person and injuring six others - including one Briton.

Technicians were setting up the stage at the Velodrome stadium in the southern French city of Marseille when the roof of the stage collapsed at around 5.15pm.

The disaster led to the immediate cancellation of Sunday’s planned sell out performance by the 50-year-old star.

The dead man, a 53-year-old French stage hand who has not been identified, is believed to have been hit by lighting and emblems due to be suspended above the temporary stage.

Two people, one British and one American, were severely injured in the accident, and are now in a critical condition.

Four were lightly injured by rubble; they are believed to have fractured bones in the accident.

'At this point we don't know how it happened, but we are confident no one else is still under the rubble,' said fire officer David Goddin.

Jose Allegrini, in charge of security, said three French and a person from the Cormoros Islands were also among the injured.

Some 39 others were in a ‘state of some shock’ and were receiving psychological treatment for trauma, Mr Allegrini added.

A stadium spokesman said: ‘The accident happened soon after 5pm when a stage was being put up for Madonna by a number of technicians.

‘A roof collapsed on to a group of stage hands, causing the death and the other injuries. Two survivors are in particularly bad way. The emergency services are at the scene.

‘In light of what has happened, the sell-out concert has been cancelled.’
Maurice Di Nocera, Marseille city councilor in charge of major events, said on France-Info radio that the roof had been about two-thirds complete and that it collapsed gradually on top of several workers.

'Since it did not collapse right away, that allowed several people to get out, to avoid being hit,' he said.

The 60,000-seater stadium, home to the Olympique Marseille soccer team, was being prepared for Madonna's July 19 concert when it collapsed.

The fire department says the stage fell apart on top of several workers. The six injured have been taken to local hospitals after about 27 fire engines and 80 firefighters responded to the emergency.

The cause of the stage collapse is not yet clear and the area has been barricaded by police.

Another stadium worker said the set had ‘cost many hundreds of thousands’, adding: ‘It was extremely sophisticated, with masses of lightening and scenery. The technicians knew what they were doing, but there was a terrible accident.’

Marseilles Public Prosecutor Jacques Dallest said a police enquiry had been opened.

Last weekend Madonna, who is based in London, played in front of a 15,000 crowd in Paris as part of her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ world tour. She was not thought to be in Paris this evening.

Tickets for the concert had been exchanging hands on the black market for up to £400

Madge had a similar problem in LA last year but no one was hurt and she did the show even though half of the lighting wasn't able to be rigged. Madonna plays a show tonight in Italy. This was one of three stages she normally tours with. One stage is set up, one is being taken down and one is being put up at all times during her tours.

Joe, LaToya, Jermaine and Janet have all made statements. Joe and Jermaine were paid and were constant the first two weeks. Toy sold her story. And Janet being Janet comes off as being the most sane and real member of the family once again. or at least sane of the public ones.

Joseph Jackson was there but according to her you wouldn't realize that.

Michael Jackson's sister Janet wants to care for the late pop superstar's three children.

The late 'Man in the Mirror' star had reportedly discussed his wishes for his kids - Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II, seven, known as 'Blanket' - in the event of his death and was even planning to draft a new will to amend custody details.

A source said: "There was a lot of rifts in the family, but Janet was the one person he spoke to regularly and he made sure the children kept in touch with her too.

"Ultimately, he wanted Janet to look after the children, with help from his mother Katherine, and was planning to draft a new will to reflect those wishes. He trusted Janet implicitly.

"When he had health concerns, he had a talk with Janet about how much she meant to him and the children, and how if anything happened to him, he wanted her to make sure the children would be loved and cared for in the same way he was raising them. She told him of course she would."

Michael's most recent will, written in 2002, named Katherine as the children's guardian but Janet - who accompanied the children to their family home to retrieve their belongings after the singer's death last month - has the support of her siblings in taking over as primary carer.

The source added to Britain's Grazia magazine: "The family think this could be a great idea - they are supportive of Katherine, but although she is in good health, she is nearly 80 and they are worried she is not up to the task.

"Janet is blossoming into a woman with tremendous untapped maternal instincts. The children automatically turn to her for comfort and direction."
